My sleep isn't showing up
Bloom reads sleep from Apple Health, so your tracker (or your iPhone's time in bed) needs to save it there first.
- Open the Health app and check that last night's sleep is under Browse → Sleep.
- In the Health app, tap your profile picture, then Apps (or Data Access & Devices), then Bloom, and turn on Sleep.
- Open Bloom. New nights usually arrive within a few minutes of your tracker syncing.
Using Garmin, WHOOP or Oura
Each of these apps saves your sleep to Apple Health, and Bloom reads it from there. Turn on the sharing once in your tracker's app, then choose your tracker in Bloom's Sleep screen.
Garmin
- Open the Garmin Connect app and go to Settings.
- Tap Connected Apps, then Apple Health.
- Turn on Sleep and tap Allow.
Your sleep reaches Bloom once your watch syncs with Garmin Connect in the morning. More help: Garmin Support.
WHOOP
- Open the WHOOP app and tap the menu.
- Tap Integrations, then Apple Health, then Connect.
- Turn on Sleep and tap Allow.
See WHOOP's Apple Health guide.
Oura
- Open the Oura app, tap the menu, then Settings.
- Under Data sharing, tap Apple Health and turn on Connect to Health.
- Turn on Sleep and tap Allow.
See Oura's Apple Health guide.
No watch? Use your iPhone
Your iPhone can record your time in bed in Apple Health, and Bloom counts it like a night of sleep, less 45 minutes for falling asleep and waking in the night (at most 10 hours). It grows your garden and earns three quarters of a tracker night's water and petals. If a tracker records the same night, the tracker's night counts instead.
- In the Health app, open Sleep: tap Browse or the search button, then Sleep.
- Tap Full Schedule & Options, and set a sleep schedule for every day.
- Under Options, turn on Track Time in Bed with iPhone.
Your iPhone records time in bed only on nights its sleep schedule runs. Time in bed you type into Health yourself doesn't count.
Why didn't my flower grow?
Flowers grow while you sleep, but only if you watered them before bed. Each night of sleep grows a watered plant toward bloom: a daisy blooms in one night, most flowers in two, rare ones in three and epic ones in four. Make sure last night's sleep reached Apple Health (see above).
Friends and gifts
- Friends need a Bloom account: sign in with Apple or Google from the Friends screen.
- Find friends by username, or share your invite code.
- You can send a gift (a drop of water and a petal) to up to 10 friends a day, and each friend can receive a few gifts a day.
- To stop seeing someone, open their page and choose Remove friend or Block. You can also Report anyone who's being unkind.
Bloom Plus and looks
Bloom Plus is an optional subscription, monthly or yearly: twice the water and petals for every night, a streak that a short or missed night doesn't break, a basket for 150 seeds instead of 50, a second greenhouse room, every garden scene while you're a member, up to three sleep sounds mixed together (one without Plus), and sleep sounds that play all night (up to an hour without Plus).
Looks for your bluebirds, the butterfly and garden scenes are one-time purchases. Scenes you buy are yours to keep; scenes you have only through Bloom Plus go back to the usual sky when it ends.
- Manage or cancel: on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Bloom. Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews.
- New phone, or something missing? In Bloom, open Settings and tap Restore purchases.
- Refunds are handled by Apple: visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Deleting your account
Open Settings in Bloom, tap your name under Friends, then Delete account. This removes your account and friends data from our servers. Your garden and sleep stay on your iPhone until you delete the app.
