This policy covers “consumer health data” as defined by Washington’s My Health My Data Act and Nevada’s consumer health data law, as handled by CLAD Ventures LLC (“we” or “us”) in Bloom: Sleep Garden (the “App”). Our Privacy Policy covers all other information.
1. The Consumer Health Data We Collect, and Why
- Sleep from Apple Health: time in bed and time asleep, sleep stages, time awake, and which app or device recorded them, including the time in bed your iPhone saves when its sleep schedule is on. The App reads and uses them only on your iPhone, to grow your garden, score your nights and show your sleep insights. We never receive them.
- Your streak: how many nights in a row you have slept at least 4 hours, and your longest streak. If you turn on My streak, we store them on our servers so your friends can see them. It is off until you turn it on, and turning it off deletes them from our servers.
- Notes that a night arrived: that a night of sleep reached the App and the kind of tracker it came from (for example an Apple Watch or your iPhone’s time in bed), without what the night contained. We use them to improve the App and to count community goals. They are anonymous and not linked to you, and you can turn them off in Settings → Help → Share anonymous usage.
2. Where It Comes From
Apple Health on your iPhone, which receives your sleep from your Apple Watch or other sleep tracker, or the time in bed your iPhone records from its sleep schedule, and the App’s own calculations from that sleep.
3. Who We Share It With
- Your Bloom friends see your streak, only if you turn on My streak in Settings → Friends → What friends see.
- Supabase, our hosting provider, stores your streak and the anonymous notes for us and processes them only on our instructions.
We do not sell consumer health data, and we have no affiliates that receive it.
4. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and get a copy of it, including a list of the third parties we have shared it with;
- withdraw your consent, by turning off Bloom’s access to Apple Health in iPhone Settings, turning off My streak, or deleting your account; and
- have your consumer health data deleted, by deleting your account in the App (Settings → Friends → your name → Delete account) or by asking us. Copies in our hosting provider’s backups expire within 7 days.
To use these rights, email info@clad-ventures.com with “Consumer health data” in the subject. We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why within those 45 days and take no more than 45 more. We may need to confirm that the account is yours, and we won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with “Appeal.” We will respond to your appeal within 45 days and explain our decision. If your appeal is denied, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General or the Nevada Attorney General.
